Privacy Policy

🛡️Overview

Kaka Football is an iOS app that delivers live football scores, fixtures, league standings, team and player profiles, an AR stadium viewer, and venue navigation. We built this app to put the beautiful game in your pocket without collecting anything we don't need.

📊Data We Collect

Stored locally on your device

• Favorites — leagues, teams, and players you save, persisted via iOS UserDefaults.
• Recent searches — so you can quickly return to what you've looked up.
• Offline snapshots — cached fixtures, standings, and team data so the app works without a connection.
• Profile & gamification — nickname, avatar, and XP/achievements you earn locally.
• Onboarding choices — your preferred leagues and theme settings.

Data requested from your device

• Location (while using the app) — only when you open the Venue Navigation feature, to point you toward a stadium. Not stored, not shared.
• Camera — only when you open the AR Stadium feature, to render 3D overlays. No photos or video are captured or saved.

Data we never collect

• No contacts, photos, health data, or microphone access.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA).
• No account credentials — there is no sign-in.

⚙️How We Use It

• Display live scores, schedules, and league standings you request.
• Remember your favorites and recent searches across app launches.
• Provide offline access to content you've previously viewed.
• Position AR content relative to real-world stadiums.

We do not build advertising profiles, sell data, or share your usage with third parties for marketing.

🌐Third-Party Services

The app fetches sports data from TheSportsDB (thesportsdb.com), our sole data provider. When you browse matches or teams, the app makes HTTPS requests to their API. Their servers see your IP address as part of normal networking — they do not receive any personal information from us, because we don't have any to send.

We do not integrate analytics SDKs, crash reporters that phone home, advertising networks, or social-media tracking pixels.

💾Storage & Security

• All user data is kept in the iOS app sandbox on your device.
• Network traffic uses HTTPS.
• No cloud sync, no server-side user database, nothing to leak from our side.
• Uninstalling the app erases everything we stored.

👤Your Rights & Controls

• Clear favorites & searches — from within the Profile tab.
• Revoke location / camera — iOS Settings → Kaka Football.
• Delete everything — uninstall the app.

If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you also have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data. Since we store nothing on our servers, these requests are already satisfied on-device, but you can still reach out to us to confirm.

🧒Children's Privacy

Kaka Football is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because there is no account system, no messaging, and no user-generated content, there's nothing for us to collect.

📝Policy Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
